Titanic

I just rewatched the Titanic after almost a decade. There was something so special about that film. The way they introduced it from the angle of the cocky and exuberant treasure hunters to feeling and understanding the immense tragedy of it all through Rose’s story. Cameron takes us on the same journey he probably had.

It was a very human film. The set felt real and so did the people in it. There was something tactile about it. The way they held the banisters on the stairs, they way the clothes draped on the bodies. There was a lot of CGI but at the same time there was very little.
